Day 7 (from now on I'm not doing day ←- number goes here).
1: Candy experiments. Put M&Ms and Skittles in the hot water with the letters facing up. The letters should come off. The floating letters are caused by the edible printed letters which peel off. The letters do not dissolve in water while the colored candy coating does.
2: Put water droplets on a plate. Put Skittles and M&Ms on the water to dissolve some of the candy coating. Get a coffee filter and make a line for half an inch on the paper after cutting it. Then put candy coating dye drops from the Skittles and M&Ms on the paper at the line. The water seeps up the paper separating the colors from the dyes and showing the colors that make up those colors / dyes. Purple had the most colors with 3 making it up: yellow, red, and blue. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the coffee filters.
3: M&M comets: Get an ice pack and cool it down to solid ice. Next get a large baking pan and fill it to one inch with hot water. After that place the ice pack at one side of the pan and put a M&M in front of it. You will get a comet. The cold water flows below the warm water making the color from the M&M create a comet trail.
4: Put at least 2 M&Ms in a cup with water and watch as the colors don’t mix. These are all caused by the sugar making the pool of water colored.The sugar water is denser than the regular water so it sinks and the color spreads outward making the colors go out but not mix with other colors right away. We did the same experiment with a peppermint.

From what are the edible printed letters made? I'm not sure I want to be eating them because to me they look like little piece of plastic.
