Book Review: Wonder

Name and describe the setting: Most of the setting is at school where August (the main character) learns with his friends Jack and Summer. 

Name and describe the main characters: August is a kind, emotional boy that has a face disorder that makes him look ugly. He is in fifth grade like me! Jack is a friend of August who has a crush on Summer and is a great friend. Summer is a girl that always helps August out and is very kind. Via is a high schooler who has a boyfriend named Justin and is August's sister. She is kind. Justin is a smart, kind, and not judging high schooler that is in love with Via. Julian is a bully at August's school who is mean to August.

Write a back cover description/teaser.  (Give a short description of the main plot. What were the main conflicts in the books?)  The main plot is August is at school for the first time and needs some friends. The main conflict is with the main bully Julian that makes a big deal about August's face and hates August and his friends.

What did you like best about the book and why? My favorite part of the book was when August got the best award at the end of the year.

What did you like the least about the book and why? Those pesky seventh graders that only come up once in the book because they made bad Lord of the Rings fake jokes then stole August’s hearing aids.

Would you recommend this book to a friend to read?  Why or why not? Yes, because it is a fun book that has very funny parts and it makes you feel feelings throughout the book. The book shows that it is what is inside of you that counts not the outside.
